Target Connector Placement
The adaption uses one 60 pin Samtec connector.
We recommend to place the odd numbered pins at the PCB border side (flex cable won't be twisted).
Pinout
Supported Pinouts and Modes
Below you can see the pinout used for ETMv3/ETMv4/PFTv1 in Normal and Continuous mode for current Arm cores.
The pinouts for ETMv1 in Normal, Multiplexed and Demultiplexed mode for the older ARM7 and ARM9 cores are no
longer described here.
Debug Signals
The pinout of the Samtec MIPI-60 connector optionally includes the debug signals which needs to go to the CombiProbe
(34-pin MIPI header) or to the Debug Cable (20-pin standard header). The Preprocessors have a 34-pin MIPI connector
where the user can plug in the CombiProbe. Alternatively the CombiProbe (or Debug Cable) can be plugged on a
separate connector on the target. In this case there is no need to connect the debug signals to the MIPI-60. For better
signal quality it is better not to connect them. The debug signals are VREF-DEBUG, TCK, TDI, RTCK, TRST-,
DBGACK TRIGOUT, TMS, TDO, RESET-, TRST- PULLDOWN, DBGRQ TRIGIN.
