Connection Methods

The OCDS-L2 trace connector is a universal connector for all TriCore AUDO and related derivatives. The connector is used for flow trace and trigger and is available on almost all evaluation boards supporting OCDS-L2 off-chip trace.

There are two variants of the OCDS-L2 connector:
  • The older AMP 40-pin variant, supporting the OCDS-L2 trace signals only.
  • The newer SAMTEC 60-pin variant, supporting the OCDS-L2 trace signals and the OCDS-L1 JTAG debug signals.

Note that these connectors only support the OCDS-L2 parallel trace and not the actual Aurora-based serial trace.

Signals for 60pin SAMTEC Connector

The Samtec connector HW has two edges for correct orientation. One at the corner of pin 2 and one at pin 60.
GND has to be connected to the central ground blade of the connector.
The connector optionally supports the JTAG signals for the OCDS-L1 debugger.
