TRACE32 Gives Boost to Arm Automotive Developers

Lauterbach, the world’s leading supplier of debug tools, is pleased to announce that their TRACE32 debug and trace tools have become a part of the Arm Automotive Developer Community. This initiative, by Arm, is designed to bring together industry leading technology providers to simplify the development of new driving technologies, both in-vehicle and infrastructure.

The TRACE32 line of debug and trace tools have always been a strong offering for Arm based designs and Lauterbach has a long association with Arm, supporting all cores from the early ARM7TDMI to the latest Cortex-A/-R/-M devices in both single and multi-core derivatives. TRACE32 has always supported the trace technologies provided by Arm devices and recent years have seen an increase in capabilities from timing and verifying code execution to the production of code coverage reports that meet important industry safety standards, all without instrumenting the target code.

Says Norbert Weiss, Managing Director, “This is an important initiative and brings together many world leaders in the provision of tools, silicon, operating systems, and middleware in the field of automotive electronics. Our continual support for Arm as well as our world leading tools for other automotive processors makes this a particularly good fit for Lauterbach as we are able to bring together our knowledge of both market segments, ensuring that developers get the best tools possible.”
