Target Connector Placement


The adaptation uses one or two 38 pin Mictor connectors.
The second connector is only needed if the target trace port provides more than 16 trace data pins and for 8/16 bit demuxed mode.
A separation distance of 1350 mil is required if adaption without flex cable is intended.
We recommend to place the even numbered pins at the PCB border side (flex cable won't be twisted).

Debug Signals

The debug signals are: DBGRQ, RESET-, TDO|-|SWO, RTCK, TCK|TCKC|SWCLK, TMS|TMSC|SWDIO, TDI, TRST-, DBGACK, and VREF-DEBUG.

The first Mictor connector "TRACE A" can optionally include these debug signals. This allows a target adaptation without a separate debug connector on the target. In this case, the debug probe (IDC20A Debug Probe) can be connected to the trace probe (AutoFocus II Hardware, "Preprocessor"), which routes the debug signals to the debug probe.

If the target provides a separate debug connector, the debug signals can be connected to that connector and do not need to be additionally routed to the Mictor connector on the target board. For better signal integrity, it is recommended not to route them to the Mictor connector in this case.
